Stephen Sinclair MD, After finishing medical school at Harvard, ophthalmology residency at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and a vitreo-retinal fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Sinclair spent 8 years as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and head of the vitreo-retinal service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He moved across town to start a new department at Hahnemann University as Professor of Ophthalmology and then spent 6 years as vice-chairman continuing his clinical, teaching and research activities. He left academics in 1993 but continues as Adjunct Professor of Ophthalmology at Drexel University, teaching residents and students at several institutions in Philadelphia and lecturing worldwide. Dr. Sinclair has invented a number of topical and intraocular medications to better manage a number of ocular diseases. He founded a company, Vimetrics, LLC. in order to market  his inventions, and a non-profit foundation, the Clear Vision Foundation, in order to promote much needed screening programs that will enable earlier detection of ocular disease  and rehabilitation programs to assist persons who are already afflicted with vision loss.
